Now the Day Is Over
1. Now the day is over,
Night is drawing nigh;
Shadows of the evening
Steal across the sky.
2. Now the darkness gathers,
Stars begin to peep,
Birds and beasts and flowers
Soon will be asleep.
3. Jesus, give the weary
Calm and sweet repose;
With Thy tend'rest blessing
May mine eyelids close.
4. Grant to little children
Visions bright of Thee;
Guard the sailors tossing
On the deep-blue sea.
5. Comfort every sufferer
Watching late in pain;
Those who plan some evil
From their sin restrain.
6. Through the long night-watches
May Thine angels spread
Their white wings above me,
Watching round my bed.
7. When the morning wakens,
Then may I arise
Pure and fresh and sinless
In Thy holy eyes.
8. Glory to the Father,
Glory to the Son,
And to Thee, blest Spirit,
While all ages run.
Ngày Gần Tàn Rồi
1. Giờ này ngày gần tàn rồi
Không gian màu biến đổi
Bóng tối phủ trên mọi người
Lần lần đầy bầu trời.
2. Người mệt nhọc được Jêsus
Ban cho bình an ngủ
Mắt nhắm chẳng e người thù
Nhờ Ngài hằng hộ phù.
3. Mộng vàng nguyền được nhìn Ngài
Đây hi vọng mãi mãi
Thủy thủ phiêu lưu cậy nhờ
Ngài dìu thuyền vào bờ.
4. Nguyền Ngài từ trời truyền lời
Cho thiên thần bay tới
Trải cánh phủ trên giường này
Hộ vệ toàn vẹn rày.
5. Nguyền được chờ dậy mạnh dạn
Khi đêm tàn ửng sáng
Trước mắt Chúa luôn sạch ngần
Đẹp lòng Ngài mươi phần.
